What is this thing?

This site is the Anniston Star Police Blog.
A blog is the hip, trendy abbreviation of the term "Web Log."
A Web log is essentially a place for me to collect and publish all of the crime stories for the Star and some other publications. The entries are published in reverse chronological order, which is just a fancy way to say that the newest stories are on the top of the page and the oldest stories are towards the bottom of the page.
On this site, I will try to include information, pictures, audio and video that would not fit on the news print. I will also try to give you hints at upcoming events and stories.
Please leave comments on the stories or feel free to email me with questions or tips.
To me, this site is a better way for me to be in touch with the community and to hear what you (the loyal readers) want to read or don't want to read.
I think this could be a lot of fun and help us out.
