City officials are planning a community meeting about the sexual predator on Wednesday.
This one is going to be hosted at Refuge Full Gospel Methodist Church at 401 East 22nd St. at 6 p.m.
The mayor, city council members, police chief, and others will be hosting this one (it's not the same group as the Stop the Violence meetings.)
Here's the story, which references the incidents that precipitated the meeting.
Police started calling this assailant a "sexual predator." They believe he's been responsible for a series of at least three - up to five - rape/robberies in the last six months.

Glad to hear people are getting involved in trying to put an end to this madness. i am in the vicinity of where several of the rapes have occurred and if it wasn't for ready the star i would know nothing about this. thanks for keeping us updated.
About rapist: Instead of robbing people go to work and make your money. And instead of raping get a girlfriend or get married instead of bothering women who are not even interested in you. Kevin

I wish I would have known of the meeting sooner, I would love to have been there. I used to live next door to the church, and I was a victim of this monster. I can only pray he is caught, so this doesn't happen to any more women.
I wonder how anyone has time to sit and follow people and watch them all the time . You would think they would have to work and have a home and have things to do there. Reckon the suspect could be someone that is homeless jobless or lives in their car or van? They would have more time to watch people if they don't work don't you think? My daughter was attacked in February/2008 and if not for a friend she would have been raped/killed. We will never fully recover from this incident and my heart goes to the women who were raped. I hope that DNA will find this animal and he will be caged/terminated.
I have heard that people in the area know who this guy is and that he has been to prison before for the same thing. looks to me like I would go thru the list of people in the area who have been released in the past couple of years and question them on this,it couldnt hurt.
It might be one of the sex offenders who are out and have been released from prison who committed rapes or attempted rapes in the past.
If people in the area know who it is why don't they tell on him? And when they put him back in prison let him stay in there for life. Reed
